Reconstructive Surgery

Reconstructive surgery can remove unsightly skin blemishes, reduce scarring, and repair damaged earlobes, while Mohs reconstructive surgery can treat Mohs defects from a Mohs procedure. Skin cancer reconstruction is an efficient treatment for Mohs defects that leaves little to no visible scarring. Moles and skin lesion removal can help treat and remove moles, skin tags, or cysts in a simple in-office procedure. Most patients experience little to no downtime when undergoing lesion or blemish removal with Dr. Zimbler. For scar reduction, scar revision surgery can help reduce the appearance of scars and ease any discomfort that scars may cause. Earlobe repair can treat a stretched or torn earlobe that is a result of an accident or aging by removing damaged or unhealthy tissue and restoring the appearance of your ear.

Dr. Zimbler is an accomplished facial plastic surgeon with extensive experience in Mohs reconstructive surgery. Common skin cancers that are often treated by Mohs surgery include basal cell skin cancer and squamous cell skin cancer. After your Mohs surgery, you may be left with a Mohs defect, which is the name given to cosmetic irregularities as a result of Mohs surgery. Mole and Skin Lesion Removal

Dr. Zimbler can perform mole, skin tag, and cyst removal to safely remove unattractive lesions, growths, or blemishes. The majority of mole, skin tag, and cyst removal procedures are performed in-office with a topical numbing cream. Most patients experience little to no downtime after a mole, skin tag, or cyst removal. Dr. Zimbler can perform skin tag removal through the processes of lancing, cauterization, or cryotherapy. The majority of moles and cysts are medically harmless, but Dr. Zimbler can provide further examination if needed. In most cases, Dr. Zimbler can quickly assess whether a mole is benign or not and plan your mole removal procedure.

Scar Revision Surgery

Scar revision surgery can help reduce the prominence of scars and can even help ease the discomfort of a scar that hinders your movement or muscle activity. Scar revision can treat keloid scars, hypertrophic scars, and other scars that you may have received from an accident or surgery. It is advised that patients do not undergo scar revision surgery until 1 year after the initial incident, as some scars may improve or diminish on their own. Dr. Zimbler can tailor scar reduction to your particular needs to best help reduce the prominence of scars.

Earlobe Repair

Earlobe repair surgery can address an earlobe that has been stretched, torn, or damaged from a trauma or accident. Earlobe repair can also treat ears that have naturally drooped with age. Torn earlobe repair is an in-office procedure where the entire earlobe can be re-shaped or shortened. By removing the damaged tissue during earlobe repair, Dr. Zimbler is able to restore the appearance of your ear. After earlobe repair, you can have your ears pierced again after your ears have properly healed. Dr. Zimbler personally offers to pierce your ears again after earlobe surgery to reduce the possibility of another torn or stretched earlobe.
